GUIDED Walks will make a return to Malmesbury after a successful programme last year.
There are ten themed walks taking place this year starting with a walk on Saturday, May 19, looking at the influence of St Aldhelm on Malmesbury and finishing with the hugely popular Halloween walk on Saturday, October 27.
New to the programme this year Women of Malmesbury will take place on Saturday, June 16, celebrating 100 years since some women became entitled to vote.
A Jackdaw’s View of Malmesbury is also new this year taking place on Wednesday, August 15, which will take a not too serious look at some of Malmesbury’s history that doesn’t make the history books.
Including why Malmesbury was once known at the rottenest borough in England.
Athelstan Museum and Malmesbury Civic Trust jointly organise the walks run by volunteers with all funds raised towards good causes in the community.
Full details of this year’s programme and tickets are available from Athelstan Museum and at jumblebee.co.uk/guidedwalksaroundmalmesbury.
