WILTSHIRE Wildlife Hospital need to raise £15,000 for a new ambulance.

The current ambulance has been in service for over 15 years and is ‘past its best’ and is ready to retire.

An ambulance is vital to the running of the hospital when attending a badly needed animal in urgent need of medical help.

Providing 24-hour coverage every day of the year, the hospital is run by a couple and assisted by a dedicated team of volunteers all unpaid.

Together the crew and the ambulance cover the whole of Wiltshire and other neighbouring counties.

The hospital along with others never refuse an injured or sick wild animal or bird and at present are caring for over 250 hedgehogs as well as deer, badgers, swans and foxes.

So far they have raised £583.
