"YELLOW" weather warnings continue across the region.

The Met Office says that ice will be a hazard in places until 11am.

Icy stretches are likely on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths with some slippery surfaces likely.

The Met Office's colour-coded weather warnings are intended to keep the public informed of the severity of conditions.

Yellow, the least dangerous of the warnings, means that severe weather is possible, and to 'be aware', and to plan ahead.
