WILTSHIRE Council are advising residents to complete a waste and recycling survey ahead of consultation deadline.
Last month, the council began canvassing the public’s views about household waste and recycling to help shape a new ten year household collection strategy.
The consultation closes on November 14 and is open to all members of the public at wiltshire.gov.uk/waste or a paper copy can be obtained by calling 0300 456 0102.
Wiltshire council spends more than £30 million per year on household waste management so they are looking to find an affordable long term plan.
So far more than 2,270 people have provided their opinions.
Bridget Wayman, cabinet member for waste, said: “We’ve had a really strong response to the consultation so far and there’s still plenty of time for more people to tell us what they think.
“The more responses we get the clearer the picture will be of what people want from their waste management service, and that will really help with our long-term planning.”
Once the draft plan has been proposed, the final strategy will be considered and implemented in 2018.
