MALMESBURY Town Hall is set to host a fundraiser for two of the town’s women who are getting on their bikes to cycle through South-East Asia.

Bron Maclennan and Diana Boulton will pedal more than 450 kilometres through Vietnam and Cambodia this autumn to raise money for three child cancer charities.

The Malmesbury duo will join up with a team of cyclists riding through the two countries to support CLIC Sargent, Children with Cancer UK and the Teenage Cancer Trust.

It is hoped the dance, at the Town Hall on September 30, will help boost Bron and Diana’s individual targets of £1,800.

Bron, who has raised thousands of pounds for local and national charities before, said: “We both feel passionately about these three charities, me especially as my son had leukaemia.

“I know the terrible traumas children and families go through.

“These wonderful charities are real lifelines and give so much support to everyone involved.

“We do hope many local residents will support what we promise will be a fantastic evening.”

Tickets for the dance cost £15 each and can be purchased at the Persephone Violet flower shop in Malmesbury and by going to mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/bronmaclennan1 or mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/dianaboulton1
