TRIBUTES have been paid to Anouska Paterson, the 41-year-old woman who died in a car crash while driving the wrong way on the M4 last weekend.

Anouska was killed when her Audi A3 hit several other cars before colliding head on with an Audi A4 at about 10.40pm on Sunday night.

The incident took place between junction 17, Swindon West, and 16 for Chippenham and it is unclear how she managed to get on to the wrong carriageway.

Writing on Facebook, Beverley Sargent said: “Every time I saw Noush she was smiling and laughing.

“Thoughts are with your family.

“You will be extremely missed, shine bright Noush.”

Nicky Price said: “She was always smiling and good fun to be around.

“She was very passionate about her job, it was more than just a job, it was her way of life to help people.

“Love and prayers are now with the family, she will be missed by all.

Gaby Grey said: “She was a beautiful soul inside and out.

“She was always going that extra mile for everyone.

“Thoughts are with all of your family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.”

The 35-year-old driver of the A4 was taken to Southmead Hospital with serious leg and pelvic injuries.

Police, who are still investigating the incident, said: “Our thoughts are with her family, who have requested privacy at this difficult time.

“PC Jay Clifton, of the roads policing unit, is continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident, including anyone who may have dash cam footage of a black Audi A3 being driven on the eastbound carriageway prior to the collision.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
