EXCITING prizes are up for grabs at the Friends of Malmesbury Primary School (FMPS) annual fete which takes on Friday.

Tickets to WOMAD and Baby Boondocks, a Dyson vacuum cleaner and vouchers for businesses in the town are among the raffle prizes that can be won.

The fete opens at 6pm, entrance is £1 and children go free.

All money raised will go towards helping the school fund the redevelopment of a woodland area of the playground for the children of year 1 and 2.

Sarah Glover, co-chair of FMPS, said: “The new woodland will utilise the grounds of the school more fully and allow for a further learning space allowing the school to work with small groups of children in a new setting.

“We are also one of the Co-op’s chosen community charities for its latest round of funding.

“This means that for every £1 spent at the Co-op we get a proportion that goes to local charities.”

Sarah will be selling raffle tickets outside the Co-op all day on Friday ahead of the fete in the evening.
