A PUPIL at a Malmesbury school has been excluded after bringing a knife to school.
The incident happened at St Joseph's Primary School on Thursday, June 15.
Headteacher Mrs Christopher said: "This knife was capable of causing serious harm to our pupils.
"Although it was unclear what the intentions of the child were, we have made the decision to treat this very seriously.
"The child has received a fixed term exclusion for their behaviour.
"Please be reassured that we have a zero tolerance approach to any incidents of extreme behaviour and that the safety of our pupils is always our prime concern.
"The child's behaviour will be very carefully monitored when they return to school."
