ST ALDHELM’S Day Fair returns to Malmesbury this Bank Holiday Monday with music, stalls and events to entertain children and adults alike.
Festivities kick off at 10.30am with the official opening by Wayne Jones, mayor of Malmesbury, at the Market Cross.
Afterwards, there will be Morris dancers and live music throughout the town all day.
At the Cloister Gardens there will be a children’s craft and costume workshop, longbow demonstrations and the opportunity for budding archers to have a go themselves.
In St Aldhelm’s Roman Catholic Church in Cross Hayes there will be a flower festival.
The Athelstan Museum will be open all day with a special display about St Aldhelm and at 11am Tony McAleavy will give a history talk in the Town Hall, tickets cost £3.
