A FEARLESS man from Sherston is preparing to jump out of a plane to raise money for charity.
Cane Gibbings will do a skydive next Friday, May 26, to raise money for Cancer Research UK, a charity that he says is something very close to his heart.
Cane, a father of two boys, is hoping to raise £500 for the charity by completing the nerve-wracking challenge just three days before turning 43.
The self-employed painter and decorator said: “I’m really nervous about doing it so I thought I would try and raise as much money as I can for a good cause to spur me on.
“I’m sure we have all lost someone very close and dear or know someone who has through this disease.
“It has taken two special people from my life already and I would like to try and help stop this horrible disease so please donate as much or as little as you can.
“It will all help and it would be much appreciated.”
