WILTSHIRE Sight has been selected to receive a donation from Anglian Home Improvements as part of the property firm’s plans to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

The company set out to find 50 worthy community causes across the nation, each receiving a cheque for £500.

Wiltshire Sight, which works with people living with sight loss across Wiltshire and Swindon, provides information, advice and guidance as well as practical and emotional support to people living with sight loss.

The charity was delighted to be chosen and the funds raised will go towards funding Zoom Club, their children’s club which runs activities aimed at enhancing sight impaired children’s other senses.

Claire Neal, Fundraiser at Wiltshire Sight, said: “In order to achieve our goal of supporting people living with sight loss to live active lives and reach their full potential, we rely heavily on funding and the generosity of the public.

"Therefore, we are extremely grateful to Anglian Home Improvements for its donation of £500 which will go towards the costs of providing our valuable services for visually impaired people living in Wiltshire and Swindon.”

Steve Hoadley, divisional managing director for Anglian Home Improvements Midlands and South West, said: “Wiltshire Sight stood out to the judges for the invaluable contribution it makes to the local area, and we were delighted to announce it as one of our #50for50 winners.

“As a company which is ‘local to you’ we are passionate about showing our support for the community and our purpose is not only to ensure quality at every step of the customer journey, but also to help create a positive legacy in the areas in which we operate.

"Anglian’s #50for50 campaign clearly demonstrates this, and we look forward to seeing the difference our support will make to Wiltshire Sight and to the other worthy winners.”
