MYSTERY is surrounding an apparently abandoned lorry at a lay-by on an unmarked country lane near Cleverton.
The rear end of a bright yellow haulage truck has been sitting in the remote spot for more than a month leading passers-by and residents of the village to express confusion as to how and why it got there.
The vehicle is parked up in the lay-by where the Highways Agency has previously stored gravel near a T-junction of an unnamed road north-west of Cleverton.
It has no registration plate or company branding and the only identifying feature is a number on the underneath the front that reads CI08950.
Perplexed local resident Miranda Shirnia posted the above image facebook.
When contacted, Wiltshire Police were unaware of the vehicle and anyone with any information about it is urged to get in touch.
