STAFF at a Cirencester business will be running for 24 hours non-stop for a good cause.

UBC, a nationwide supplier of serviced office space, is double down on its fundraising efforts for UK children's charity KidsOut, who they’ve been supporting over the past year.

The company has raised £1,200 for the charity in that time across its eight centres, and staff hope entering the Cotswolds 24-hour Race in July will take them over their £3,000 fundraising target.

The round-the-clock relay challenge takes place at the historic Bathurst Estate, located a short distance from UBC's Cirencester centre.

The 9km off-road course includes forest trails and paths and competitors aim to complete as many laps of the course as possible within 24 hours.

The team that have completed the most laps within the 24-hour period, wins.

Jane Erasmus, team captain and sales and marketing director at UBC, said: “Team UBC will be swapping our office suits for running shorts and going all-out to win the Cotswolds 24-hour Race.

“It's not that we're competitive or anything, we just want to raise as much money as possible in support of KidsOut.”

The team comprises of staff and clients, mostly from UBC's Cotswolds centre, along with participants from other centres across the country.

“We're hoping to raise at least £1,000 for KidsOut during this event alone,” Jane added.

“We'll be holding plenty of monthly fundraising events in addition to this one, so by the end of 2017 we plan to more than double last year's fundraising total.

“KidsOut is a fantastic charity that works tirelessly to provide disadvantaged children across the UK with positive experiences and happy memories. Please show your support by giving generously.”
