IT WAS a happy ending to the tail of a dog that was reported missing in the Malmesbury area last week.

Kate Derrick and her partner James Willis were desperately searching for their cute, little brown Patterdale terrier Rosie who went missing on Saturday, February 25 from near the Willis Brothers Jumps premises.

Kate said: "She was stuck down a hole in the Willis yard, she had been down there for eight days, it's a miracle she's alive.

"We dug out the hole on the second day she was missing but found nothing and heard nothing.

"It turned out she was just a few feet away from where we had been digging in the end.

"She is one lucky dog, she's now in the George vets being treated for a few days, but will be fine."
