A NEW website has been launched that aims to help parents access services for their children in Wiltshire.

Wiltshire Children’s Services, which is run by Virgin Care, and includes many NHS and local authority-commissioned services for children and families, has launched the website.

It includes advice and support for parents, healthcare professionals and children and makes it easy to track down relevant programmes with an efficient keyword search engine.

The site guides parents through what to expect once they’ve been referred for an appointment, tool kits telling parents and carers what they can do at home for their child’s issue and contact information for teams in the service from across the county.

Jayne Carroll, Virgin Care’s director of regional operations, said: “We’re really excited to launch the new website which is the culmination of a lot of hard work from colleagues across the county after having launched the service in April.

“This innovative website will support families with self-help guides, give them reassurance of the support that’s available from the services we run and crucial information on what to expect once a referral has been made at what can be a very difficult time.”
