A SELFLESS farmer could have saved the life of an elderly gentleman when he stopped to change a bus wheel on an isolated rural road.
The mystery tractor driver didn’t hesitate to pull over when he saw a community bus had broken down and helped take off the damaged wheel.
One of the passengers was an elderly man using an oxygen tank with only two hours of oxygen in it, so the farmer’s intervention couldn’t have come sooner.
As soon as his work was done, he left the scene, insisting he would not accept a tip from the community bus driver.
To him, it was a simple act of kindness he probably wouldn’t have thought much of, but to the elderly gentleman and bus driver, it meant the world.
It’s acts of kindness like these that keep the world turning and the anonymous farmer should rightly be praised for giving up his time, without batting an eyelid.
