MORE than £54,000 has been raised in memory of a Crudwell teenager who died at the end of last year.
Hannah Cubin’s parents Dawn and Andy have been raising money for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance since her sudden death at a friend’s sleepover.
A total of 1,490 donations have come in from across the world, which is enough for 20 air ambulance missions.
It costs £3.25m a year to keep the air ambulance flying, which works out at £8,904 per day.
The air ambulance is a charity and relies almost entirely on public donations to keep flying and does not receive central government funding.
Speaking about the success of the campaign, Dawn and Andy said: "It is now just over a month since our lovely Hannah left us.
"Your generosity and support have helped Dawn and I in our grief and done so much for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
"We are proud of our daughter's legacy and privileged to be surrounded by so many wonderful people. Thank you all so very, very much."
