A NEW programme is hoping to help take 1,500 Wiltshire residents out of unemployment.

Employment, skills and rehabilitation provider Working Links is delivering a three-year programme after securing funding from the Department for Work and Pensions and the European Social Fund.

This new voluntary programme provides tailored packages of support to help people who have been out of work for more than six months, and those who have barriers to work.

Working Links is partnering with a number of Wiltshire-based voluntary sector organisations to deliver the programme across the county.

Working Links performance manager Helen Saunders said the programme is all about “maximising people’s potential”.

“Over the years, we’ve supported thousands of people towards a better future across Wiltshire, and we’re looking forward to supporting thousands more,” she said.
