TO show support for her grandmother who was recently diagnosed with cancer, a year-8 pupil from Malmesbury School had her head shaved in front of her classmates.
Sophie Ashley had her locks cut off during assembly in front of the whole school last week in response to her nan being diagnosed with breast cancer recently.
“She has lost all her hair now and I didn’t want her to be alone,” she said. “I wanted to do it with her.”
Sophie is raising money for Cancer Research UK, the nominated charity for her school house.
