THE Malmesbury Young Farmers Club celebrated another successful year at their AGM recently.
Outgoing chairman Jeff Simpkins congratulated members for their enthusiasm and hard work in a range of competitions including stock judging, flower arranging, cooking and public speaking which lead to the success at the rally.
The group also handed over £1,500 to two charities, having raised the money from a number of fundraising events, at the meeting held on Friday, October 7.
They donated £1,000 to the Great Somerford church roof fund and £500 was also donated to HEALS of Malmesbury.
The group also took care of some housekeeping, as Jeff Simpkins stood down as chairman and Sam Armstrong was voted in to replace him.
Sam Kidner stood down as Secretary and Sarah Metcalfe took on the position.
Club president of the past five years, Nigel Maidment, also stood down and David Akerman took on the role.
