A FIRE crew at Cricklade didn’t blink when they were called into emergency action last week.
A burst pipe left a row of homes on the brink of being flooded, with residents worried that the water would gush over their doorsteps.
Five members of the crew responded to the call, dropping everything to help the community during its time of need.
It isn’t said often enough how much retained firefighters sacrifice in order to help their community, dropping everything to rush into action.
The fire crew rushed to the scene and worked through the night pumping water, while residents could sleep easy knowing the situation was being taken care of.
Retained crews like Cricklade’s are part time so these members would likely have had to get up early on the following morning to go to their day job. They deserve our full recognition.
