RESIDENTS are being encouraged to buy a balloon to support the vulnerable in the community.
HEALS of Malmesbury are holding a balloon race for their fifth birthday.
To take part, residents can buy an environmentally friendly balloon for £3 from HEALS and then nominate a good cause.
After the race, the people who bought the three balloons that have travelled the furthest will dictate which charities or organisations receive a share of the proceeds.
As the organiser HEALS will receive 70 per cent raised after costs, leaving 30 per cent to be split between the nominated charities.
Balloons are on sale at the HEALS Centre until September 12.
