POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a crash that took place on the A429, resulting in a reported altercation between two men.
The collision occurred at around 5.30pm on Wednesday, July 6, between a white transit van and a black Mercedes on the A429 southbound between Kemble and Crudwell.
Following the crash, an altercation is believed to have taken place between the two men.
A 26-year-old man from Malmesbury was arrested on suspicion of assault, failing to stop and theft, and a 30-year-old man from Tetbury was arrested on suspicion of assault.
They have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
PC Sue McCartney said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or anyone who was in the area between 5.20-6pm on July 6.
“If you have any information, please contact police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously if preferred.”
