Oaksey WI to welcome guests for Queen's 90th birthday celebrations
RESIDENTS are being invited to join in the Oaksey WI’s celebrations for the Queen’s 90th birthday this year.
On Thursday (16) Shaun Mc Cormack, a serving yeoman of the Guard, will give a talk entitled ‘The Queens bodyguard of the Yeoman of the Guard', covering the state dress, recruitment and duties of the role.
Following this there will be refreshments along with a royal birthday cake and a royal raffle, with a toast to the Queen with a glass of sparkling wine to round off the evening.
To make it a memorable event, the WI are welcoming visitors, both male and female, to the evening.
Tickets are £3 and the event starts at 7.15pm at the Oaksey Village Hall.
