A MALMESBURY brewery has proved it is top of the hops at this year’s Taste of The West Product Awards.
The Flying Monk Brewery came ‘highly commended’ in the beer category of this year’s awards for their Elmers beer, a popular pale bitter that was launched in 2014.
Now in its 25th year, the Taste of The West Product Awards are one of the most highly respected in the food and drink industry.
Kevin Newbould, managing director of the Flying Monk Brewery, said: “It’s fantastic to be acknowledged by such a prestigious award, especially given the stiff competition.
“A lot of love went in to Elmers, it was the first beer we ever launched and remains a sure fire favourite, so we’re thrilled to receive ‘highly commended’.”
