POLICE have released an e-fit of a man who allegedly assaulted a 57-year-old in Malmesbury.
The incident happened at approximately 7.10pm on 1 February 2016 in Gloucester Road.
The victim, a 57-year-old man, was confronted by a man who struck him around the face and grabbed him by the neck. The victim sustained pain to his cheek but did not require hospital treatment.
The suspect is described as a white male, believed to be aged in his 30s, approximately five foot 10 inches tall of medium build. He had short dark hair and was wearing black thick rimmed glasses and dark clothing.
Anyone who witnessed the assault, or saw or heard anything suspicious in the area at the time of the offence should call PC Rob Wilson on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously if preferred.
