A POTHOLE in Malmesbury that has refused to go away, has finally been sorted by Wiltshire Council.
The now infamous pothole on Gloucester Road has been a source of frustration for residents, having seen it reappear after being temporarily fixed repeatedly by council workers.
The council closed the road off recently overnight to fix the problem long term, doing a hot asphalt repair.
Malmesbury resident Jane McCall was one of those glad to see it the pothole being sorted once and for all.
She said: “Whenever it rained, all the new tarmac ended up being peppered onto my house.
“We had to avoid being drenched by tidal wave from puddle if we stepped out as traffic was passing.”
