THERE has been a spate of burglaries in and around Malmesbury in the past two days, including two chainsaws stolen from a home yesterday.
On September 30 at a property on Tetbury Road, unknown suspects gained entry to a shed and stole two chainsaws from inside.
The suspects then sped off in a dark coloured, saloon type vehicle.
On the same day in Great Somerford an unattended HONDA EU20 generator, that had been left running, was stolen whilst the equipment for the Horse Trials was being set up.
The generator is red and grey, 5-10litres and has the "Show Hire" rectangle branded logo on it.
Lastly, sometime between September 29-30 an unknown suspect stole a field battery and a Shockright energiser located in a field in Luckington.
When asked if the burglaries were linked, a spokesman from Wiltshire Police said: “We’re keeping an open mind.
“Inquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information should ring us on 101.”
