Wiltshire Council is teaming up with Corsham-based Recruit for Spouses to help create opportunities for military partners in the county.

The Corsham business founded and run by military spouses helps employers tap into the resources of the military community by highlighting job opportunities which are useful to partners of service personnel and will be suited to their lifestyles.

Now Recruit for Spouses will be highlighting careers with Wiltshire Council on a local, national and international level including families in Germany which are moving to Wiltshire as part of the Army Basing Programme.

Wiltshire Council leader Jane Scott said: “We are proud of our military connections here in Wiltshire and we are looking forward to many more service personnel and their families making their home in the county over the coming years as part of the Army Basing Programme.

“This partnership with Recruit for Spouses means military partners will be able to see the many opportunities and benefits which are available working at Wiltshire Council.

"This will be mutually beneficial as we can offer fulfilling careers while we have access to a workforce with many different skills.”

Founder and CEO of Recruit for Spouses Heledd Kendrick said: “Recruit for Spouses are delighted to be working with Wiltshire Council.

"Military families often have to make a lot of sacrifices so we work hard to seek employers who support these families and Wiltshire Council are ideally positioned with so many bases in the Wiltshire area.”
