THE sun shone on the 120th Somerford Show this year, held at Great Somerford Show Ground.

The fantastic weather was enjoyed by huge crowds at one of the most successful and well supported shows in recent years.

One of the most popular attractions of the day was the equestrian classes which included showjumping, dressage and Gmkhana. There was also a dog show and a horticultural and industrial section which included baking, art, floral displays and home produce that was popular among locals.

The charity duck race that took place on the River Avon was a highlight for many and all 800 ducks were sold.

Other attractions included a fun fair, vintage tractors, skittles and trade stands.

At this year’s show, the Somerford Show Chairman, George Candy, presented the Wiltshire Air Ambulance with a donation of £1000.
