SHERSTON Post Office held a mini fete outside their shop last week to help raise money for The Princes Countryside Trust.
The event raised over £400 in total through a tombola, selling bric a brac and various other stalls including find the hedgehog and Where’s Scotty Now, a variant of Where’s Wally Now aimed at the local postman.
In addition, raffles were held to win a local food hamper and tickets to WOMAD festival.
Fundraising during the week continued by way of special promotions and contributions made by the shop against purchases of local produce.
Sub Postmaster Paul Mather said: “It was a tremendous effort by all the staff who gave up their time to help and man stalls.
“This was matched by the response of the villagers who have been most generous to a very deserving cause which we are proud to support.”
