A MALMESBURY dial-a-ride service has received a nod in the House of Commons after it was mentioned by North Wiltshire MP James Gray.
Mr Gray praised Bradies Taxis during yesterday’s Transport Questions in Parliament during a debate about the need to adapt vehicles and transport routes for disabled people.
He said: “We all strongly support proper access to public transport for disabled people, which is absolutely essential.
“One way forward must be through dial-a-ride services, such as the one offered by Bradies Taxis in Malmesbury, which I launched last Saturday, whereby elderly and disabled people in particular can ring up and find small buses to take them where they want to go.”
Last week, Mr Gray and Bradies Taxis launched a new service that will allow residents from villages including Brinkworth, Dauntsey, Little Somerford, and Corston to visit Malmesbury’s Primary Care Centre, town centre, Waitrose and Nurdens Garden Centre.
