A COOKBOOK which provides nutritionally sound meals on a budget is going to be released by HEALS of Malmesbury on April 21.
The book, funded by the Malmesbury League of Friends, contains recipes by nutritionalist Dr Eva Detko who will be signing books at the launch.
Mayor of Malmesbury Cllr Sue Poole will also be at the book launch.
She said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be coming to the launch of the Heals Community Cookbook.
“Having gluten intolerant members of the family it will be really useful in creating new and exciting recipes. The profits are of course going to support a good local cause.”
The recipes in the book are planned to cater to a range of common food allergies, as well as being suitable for those with a visual impairment, learning difficulties and diabetes.
The official launch event will be at Malmesbury's town hall from 5.30pm to 6.45pm with doors open at 5pm.
There will be a talk from the chairman of trustees of HEALS of Malmesbury Cllr Gavin Grant and a few samples of dishes made from recipes in the book. For more information call 01666 238100.
