A WARNING has been issued by Wiltshire Police after a dog was stolen while out on a walk this morning.
A 7-year-old Bedlington cross Patterdale bitch was scooped up and snatched away from its owners after a silver saloon pulled up alongside a dog walker.
The passenger got out of the car and grabbed the dog before the pair drove off in the direction of East Grafton.
The dog, which was stolen near Wilton, was dumped by the thieves a short distance away from where it was stolen. Police speculated that their warning being shared 150 times prompted the thieves to think twice.
Anyone with any information should contact Wiltshire Police on 101quoting log number 233.
