A 38 year-old man has appeared in court in connection with a sex assault on a woman in Swindon on Tuesday last week.

Barry John Norris, of Huddleston Close, Swindon, admitted a charge of sexual assault when he appeared before the town’s magistrates today.

Wiltshire Police are still investigating an incident of serious sexual assault in Swindon which took place at approximately 5pm on September 4, between Liden Lagoon and Austin Crescent.

A 21 year-old woman was physically and sexually assaulted by an unknown male.

Enquiries are also continuing into an incident which at 9pm on the same evening on Okus Road. This offence involved a 16 year-old girl who was grabbed and sexually assaulted by an unknown male.

Wiltshire Police officers will be between Liden Lagoon and Austin Crescent tomorrow evening to renew their appeal to the public for information.
