AN AIRBUS aircraft fuselage is due to head from Cotswold Airport to the Royal Portbury docks at Bristol by road on Sunday.
The transporter and its load, measuring 155ft long and 19ft wide, is leaving the airfield at Kemble at around 6am and will be taken down the A419 to the M4 at junction 15.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman warned: “When the loads travel on the A419 southbound before moving westbound on the M4 it will at times take up the entire carriageway.
“Drivers are asked to be prepared and considerable delays can be expected. It is estimated that this load will take approximately three to four hours to get from the Kemble Airfield to the Avon and Somerset boundary at M4 junction 18. “
