An inquiry was launched into the death of a man who was knocked unconscious outside a takeaway in Blackpool
A man has been charged with manslaughter after a Good Samaritan was killed as he attempted to break up a late-night brawl in a takeaway shop.
Allan Glenny, 23, of Clinton Avenue, Blackpool, has been accused of manslaughter in connection with the death of Ricky Guest-Binns.
The 44-year-old was knocked unconscious in the early hours of Saturday morning at the Chicken Express takeaway on Caunce Street in Blackpool.
He was taken to hospital but died from injuries police believe he sustained while trying to split up a fight which broke out between a man and a member of staff at 1am.
Glenny has also been charged with common assault in relation to an incident which took place immediately after the assault inside the Chicken Express.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Blackpool Magistrates Court.
