STANDARD reader Colin Palmer took this once-in-a-lifetime picture of a pike attacking a trout in the River Churn last Thursday.
The Cirencester resident said he was emptying his bin when he noticed the struggle and grabbed his camera.
Mr Palmer said: "The pike couldn’t move because the trout was so big. It let go after I threw a brick in."
