South Cerney man Geoffrey Ward pleads not guilty to attempted murder charge

A COTSWOLD man accused of trying to murder his wife has pleaded not guilty.
Geoffrey Ward, 52, of Broadway Lane, South Cerney, appeared at Bristol Crown Court on Monday to deny the charge, although he pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent in an attack on Patricia Ward on November 6 at their home.
The case was adjourned until June 21 to prepare psychiatric and pre-sentence reports.
