FAIRFORD has chosen its festival queen for the year.

Libby Priestman, 11, was handed the crown by her friend Georgia Stringer, who was last year's festival queen.

She was chosen by judges on Monday at the Bull Hotel, Fairford. Katie Samuel, 10, will be the Festival Princess.

Organiser Jan Cory said: "They all did very well and Libby was very excited when she found out she had been chosen to be the queen this year.

Molly Davis, 8 will be the lady-in-waiting and her sister Poppy, 5, Charlotte Rymer, 6 and Isabella Spurway, 6, will be the flower girls.
