Be the royal 'hair' to the throne in aid of charity
A HAIR raising idea has been thought up by one Cricklade barber shop owner who is hoping to get everyone in a royally good mood this jubilee weekend.
As part of a fundraising event, Maria Landure of His-N-Hairs on High Street will be offering haircuts and union jack coloured hair sprays for anyone brave enough to try it.
All proceeds from the jubilee themed days on Sunday, June 3 and Monday, June 4 will go to Hands Around the World, a charity that helps orphans in Africa.
Mum-of-two Maria said the charity was particularly close to her heart after volunteering in Zambia.
"The charity is really fantastic, it sends out groups of volunteers to build teaching centres and provides the children with at least one meal a day - probably the only meal they will get, so we’re hoping to raise as much money as we can," she said.
His-N-Hairs jubilee haircuts will be available from the unisex salon from 10am to 3pm on Sunday, June 3 and Monday, June 4, or call 01793 751006 for further details.
