Taxi driver assaulted and robbed over fare

A TAXI driver was assaulted and had his phone stolen at a music event in Chedworth after a dispute about the fare.
The 36-year-old driver from Gloucester had taken a group of revellers to the Cotswold Farm Fayre at Denfurlong Farm at about 12midnight on Sunday, May 20 when he was assaulted and robbed.
Police later arrested a 23-year-old Hackney man on suspicion of assault and theft. He has been bailed until July 6.
