EARLY morning motorists are being warned to expect delays around Cirencester tomorrow (Saturday).
A slow moving convoy will leave Cotswold Airport at around 6.30am to transport Nimrod aircraft wings from Kemble to RAF Cosford in Shropshire.
The transporter and its load will measure 20ft wide and temporary road closures are anticipated as it passes.
After leaving Cotswold Airport on the A429 it will head to Cirencester and take the A419 to Swindon where it will join the M4 at junction 15 travelling westbound.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: "Due to the size of this transporter it will be slow moving and will have the potential to create congestion.
"Wherever possible disruption will be kept to a minimum but hauliers and motorists are asked to please be patient if they come across this load. Anyone travelling over this period to catch a flight or meet appointments should allow sufficient additional time."
