GLOUCESTERSHIRE County Council Highways portfolio holder Cllr Vernon Smith came to Chedworth Parish Council’s June meeting to explain why much of Chedworth was not gritted during the snow fall commencing Sunday, December 10.

The Parish has been seeking answers for the last six months. Cllr Smith brought a supporting cast of two Highways officers and spent an uncomfortable half hour answering questions from Parish Coucillors, the public and from Cllr Paul Hodgkinson.

Various excuses were offered and offers of assistance were made which will be followed up with considerable vigour.

CHEDWORTH Silver Band will be playing in the gardens at Stowell Park on Sunday, June 24 from 2.30-4,30pm.
