A POPULAR pub singer is releasing his first ever album.

Darren John Midwinter, from Cirencester, has launched 'Red Sky Perspectives' on Itunes, Spotify and Amazon with the hard copy set to go on sale within the next two weeks.

A regular performer at the Vaults, Darren, 26, has spent seven years writing his album and is delighted to see it come together after coming through a difficult situation.

"My relationship broke down so the opportunity was there and I thought it may never come again so I went for it," he said.

"I focused on writing my own material and Red Sky Perspectives title reflects the songs with some light and some darker ones.

"Steve White my producer was on board with my ideas for the songs. He's drummed for me and been vital so I can't thank him enough.

"It's taken seven years of writing and I've wrote 10 songs. It's available now digitally on Itunes and Spotify and the hard copy will

be out within the next three weeks.

"If the album can venture further than the Cirencester bubble then that would be unbelievable but for me it's a great personal achievement to get this far.

Darren is proud to have brought out an album but is keen to remember how it all began for him.

"I started out at the Vaults open mics and never looked back really. I'm heavily involved in the music scene in Cirencester. I get around I do a lot at the Vaults, the Seven Tuns in Lechlade and I've had a lot of support around the area."
