AN ANNUAL golfing challenge that uses giant balls took place during glorious weather last Friday in aid of Parkinsons UK.
This was the sixth Gloucestershire Pairs Challenge which ran between 9am and 6pm at Cirencester Golf Club.
The overall winners were Alan and John Humphrey of Minchinhampton along with Kate Dymoke and Fiona Fife of Cirencester who took the mixed team honours.
However, the real winner is of course Parkinsons UK, who look set to receive £10,000 for research into finding a cure for the degenerative disease.
This eclipses the £1,500 raised in 2016 and shows just how far the annual challenge has come.
Special thanks must go to Mike Manctelow, Maggie Daley and Stuart Keay for their enormous fundraising effort.
