FAIRFORD & District Choral Society will be performing Brahms – A German Requiem (in English) on Saturday, April 21 in St Mary’s Church, Fairford at 7.30pm.
They will be performing the version that Brahms wrote to be sung with a piano duet accompaniment, which will be played by Alison Howell and Jo Scullin.
Soloists will be Emily Griffiths (soprano) and William Stevens (baritone).
The concert will be conducted by the Society’s music director, Marysia Gorska-Saj.
This challenging but rewarding work is completely different in style from any music F&DCS has sung in the past.
