Elsie Duffy will be celebrating a landmark birthday.
A REMARKABLE Cirencester woman is celebrating her 108th birthday today, Thursday.
Elsie Duffy will enjoy a party with family and friends in the residents lounge at Hunters Care Centre, this afternoon.
Elsie said among the secrets to a long, happy life was “a little tot of whisky every night.” Daughter Lindsay James said: “She’s a remarkable lady who’s had a lot of changes throughout her long life.”
Elsie Duffy is the second oldest resident in Cirencester behind Marion Betty Grazebrook who turns 109 in August.
