There are long queues on the Painswick Road heading towards Brockworth and the back towards Stroud.
Bisley Road is closed following a two-vehicle crash earlier this morning.
The B4008 in Stonehouse is even slower than usual due to a broken down lorry.
In South Gloucestershire there is heavy traffic on the A4107 Bromley Heath Road in Downend.
The A4174 Bristol Ring Road in Downend and Hambrook is also extremely busy.
Temporary traffic lights and roadworks on the A46 Bath Road in Tomarton is causing delays to morning commuters.
The A38 Gloucester Road in Almondsbury is busy as usual and the B4055 in Easter Compton is moving slowly due to roadworks and gas mains work.
Roads around Cirencester remain fairly calm this morning.
