ACTORS starring in an upcoming production called Penguins, have visited Birdland in Bourton-on-the-Water to perfect their performance by meeting the real thing.

Co-produced by Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Swindon’s own Prime Theatre and Cahoots NI, Penguins is a new touring show for family and school audiences aged three and over.

The theatre and dance production is inspired by a true story reported in the New York Times that touched hearts worldwide and inspired the bestselling picture book, And Tango Makes Three. As part of the tour, the show is coming to the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon on Monday – Tuesday, April 23-24.

In anticipation of their upcoming visit, the three Penguins cast members paid a visit to Birdland on February 20 during feeding time to meet their real-life counterparts.

After making sure the Penguins were well fed, Corey Annand, Osian Meilir and Jack Webb talked about the unique creative processes used during rehearsals in order for them to realistically portray these beautiful creatures and how the tour was going so far.

Book tickets for the show at swindontheatres.co.uk or by calling the Ticket Office on 01793 524 481. Group and school rates are available.
